So far

This morning I went to a club and danced in Alternate Meta. Some good tunes and about maybe ten to a dozen people. Then someone was asking about animals and was given a pointer to one of the shopping places. So I went there after dancing a while…

And shopped. And shopped… and spent most of the morning and part of the afternoon in that mall. I got a couple of animesh horses and a whole load of stuff it will take me a couple weeks to put away. lol I got a bed that I liked better for the castle – white and gold and looks more feminine. Then I got furniture to match it. So later I put the other canopy bed on the male side of the castle (not that there is anyone using it).

I also picked up a whole load of kitchen stuff for the castle. It will take me a while to sort it all, but there’s a Breadmaker stand and ovens and things like that.

Since you get to the castle over a bridge, I’m putting in a river and starting to work on the landscaping. I need to bring in my guinea pig emblems to attach to the castle. This is a photo of the animesh horse and animesh fairy, along with a stone and water feature I picked up. I haven’t put plants on the lower part of this area yet.

I am starting to think about a store myself since there are quite a few. It won’t be as large as some of the others but I can put it either near the castle or on another portion of the island on the other side. I’m thinking near the castle and maybe have it be an old world type of store, although it will have a lot of photos and steampunk stuff.

Alt. Meta. is moving their servers tonight and tomorrow night for two to four hours, so I will not be building or furnishing during those times. Taking a break. I will see what else I can get done today.

Went exploring another grid: Kitely

Notes on Kitely: Starter avatars simpler than either SL or AM. Transport much slower. Free place to live in Coopersville, and a free store. (They are all occupied currently.) You can visit Kitely for free, but for some things you need membership. Land cost: 64 regions is 39.+ USD/mo with their fastest speeds. (That’s a LOT of land!) Currently I do not see any free places to live and one region is 14.95 per month, but you get 15,000 prims which is more than you get in SL. There is also a freebie mall. I will check that out next visit. Looks like a lot of artists and educators in the population here. Many of the worlds are suspended and one I was not allowed to visit.
